BABYMOON

We went on our babymoon this past weekend. For those of you unfamiliar with that term (It was new to me as well) that is just the term used to describe a weekend that you and your honey take off to be alone before the baby arrives. We had to do our babymoon early since the Navy is about to take more and more of Rory's time. I am pretty sure we are about to enter a time period where he has zero days off:(

Anyways we had a great time just being together. We went to Chincoteague Island in the Virginia's Eastern Shore area. We spent time relaxing together and visited Assateague Island. Assateague Island is a Wildlife Refuge - one of the only places that you can see wild horses. See the pictures below.

It was a great "last hurrah". We will still have special time together but as everyone with children knows it will never be the same.

The Decorating has Started!

We started getting the nursery ready for our precious little bundle. As I already mentioned the room was painted yellow when we first moved here - which makes it so nice.

This past weekend, Rory and I (mostly Rory:)) hung the shelves for the teddy bears, and put together the crib and changing table. I am going to rearrange the teddy bears once I have all of them, but for now it really gives one an idea of what I am going for in the nursery. This weekend we will be hanging the curtains that arrived this week - blue and white gingham. I am still waiting on the sample of blue and white gingham border that I ordered to see if it matches and I like the idea or not. I am also working on (with the help of my mother-in-law THANKS) finding and ordering the 2 Anne Geddes teddy bear prints that I want for the nursery. The room is coming along.

BELLY SHOT

The Belly is growing!
This must be the only time in a woman's life that she is thrilled to see her belly expand:)
I must say it is an odd feeling and a little uncomfortable to put on my socks and shoes - and that will only get harder and harder.
