2 Month Appointment

Below is a picture taken today. He was not in the mood to smile for me since he had a lot on his mind - he just kept talking and talking. So this is a picture of him mid-speech:)
He is quite the talker- uhmm wonder where he got that from?
Dylan had his 2 month check up and shots this past Monday.
He got a good report from the Doctor:)
13 lbs 6 oz and 24 inches long
He received 3 shots:( When the Dr gave him the first one he either kicked her or got his leg loose. (I wasn't paying attention I was talking with him and doing my best to comfort him) She looked up at me and said so are you training your son as well (she knows I am a personal trainer) He is very strong. She had to bring a nurse in to help hold his legs down while he received his other two shots. He screamed during the shots but not too long afterwards he was down to a whimper then asleep. He did really well but since mom wasn't proactive on the Tylenol when it wore off he was upset. We had a crying fest for about a half an hour Monday afternoon, but for the most part he just whimpered and wanted mom to hold him.
I am happy to report that he is back to his smiling and talking self again. Monday he didn't say much and didn't smile - I receive looks that said mom why did yo make me feel this bad? It was pitiful.

Dylan the Socialite

Dylan has become quite the socialite!

*Last night we went to a pampered chef party at my friend Heather's home. Dylan was chatting up a storm with any of the ladies that would come near him or best of all hold him. He was also flashing the smile that has stolen his momma's heart. The cutest was when another lady had her little 3 month old daughter there and Dylan couldn't keep his eyes off her. Even when she (and her mom) moved off the couch to stand Dylan turn so he could still look at her.

* This morning we went to Bible Study at Miss Becca's home. Dylan was precious and awake most of the time. There are other young children at Bible Study who came over to see Dylan (he is the only immobile one) he smiled and talked with them. I really need to put my camera in his diaper bag so I can have some precious shots of him interacting. Next Friday hopefully we will get some pictures.

* There is still more - Today Grayson and his mom Caroline (my friend) (see below) came by the house for a visit. All four of us had a great time. Of course I am sure Grayson would have been happier had Dylan done more than talk and sleep - some day I am in no rush:)

The weekend isn't over yet tomorrow we go to lunch with Miss Rachel and then to church on Sunday. Therefore by Sunday afternoon I will be exhausted as I assume Dylan will be.
Monday is a stay at home day - that I have already decided:)

To My Honey

Hi Babe
I think your email must be acting up because I did write you two emails yesterday. I have been getting yours just fine so keep them coming:) They make my day when I can get an email from my lover!
I sent you another email this morning please let me know if you get it. Then I will try and remember everything I wrote you about in the last two emails. They were pretty long so not sure if I will remember everything.
I love you with all my heart!
Love you Kim
Dylan sends his love as well

Tips From the Best

Dylan has taken up sleeping with a football:) He heard on the TV that Timmy Tebow slept with a football when he was young and decided that it would be a great idea.
He is learning early to emulate only the best.
Go Gators!!!
{for those of you who are concerned no we do not have a football in Dylan's crib - if he chooses to sleep with one later in life then so be it:) }

Dancin' Dylan

We discovered just the other day that Dylan loves to lay on his floor mat and stare at the colorful star at the top which plays music and has blinking lights. We caught him today on the camera. Unfortunately our small camera does not have sound and our big camera is in for repairs. But here is the little man himself having a blast!!

EXPLOSION !

Oh My Goodness! Yesterday we had quite the event in Dylan's nursery - thanks to the little man himself. I was changing a messy diaper - always such a joy- when the big event occurred. With his legs up so mom could wipe his rear Dylan decided he wasn't done. Oh yeah he shot poop at least four feet from his changing table to the wall next to his crib. He showered everything in between as well. Unfortunately that meant a few stuffed animals and his basket of books. After letting out a yelp from surprise, I died laughing. Rory came running upstairs thinking something was wrong due to the yelp. It was nice having Rory home to help with clean up :) What a Dad! While we were wiping down the wall, cleaning off books and using carpet cleaner, Dylan was laying on the changing table just chatting away and smiling. This time we interrupted his smiles and talking as him telling us all about how many messes (of all kinds) he has just begun to give us. Thankfully Mom and Dad were both able to laugh through the whole situation. :) Here is the culprit:) He is so cute it's hard to believe he is the one who made such a nasty mess!

Happy Baby Report

As I have mentioned Dylan has been treating Mom and Dad to precious smiles. We have not been able to get him to grin for the camera yet, but we will. Hopefully soon!

Happy News - Dylan graced us with a couple giggles today. His first giggle was this morning on the changing table and then Dad was blessed to receive multiple little giggles intermingled with smiles while he was holding his little son.

About that changing table: He loves the light coming in the window next to it. The light usually gets all of his attention but today he started to face us and talk - how wonderful!

We were able to capture the tail end of Dylan's smile - still working on getting the main event! Thanks Gau-Gau for the precious sailing outfit!

First Big Game Day!!

Yesterday was Dylan's first big game day!! To start off the day, he finally decided to part from his umbilical cord and the cord fell off. We were worried because it was sticking around but the Dr.'s said it was fine for now. Now we know he was just waiting for the Big Day, his First Gator Game!!

Just before a walk at the park, his cord fell off!! Dad held up the prize, yuck! It promptly found it's way to the trash!!

The new and improved belly with an "innie"

What a cute Gator family!!

Dylan was decked out in his Gator gear with Mom...

...and Dad! He learned some things from Tebow (300 passing yards in his first start) and will perfect them over the years. Look out SEC teams, here comes Dylan!!
