Updates on Mr. Dylan

Dylan is continuing to grow so fast - it is amazing to see the difference week to week.

> On the 23rd of December Dylan feel asleep on his stomach for nap time. This is the first time that he has slept on his stomach. He has become quite the rolling pin. You can't leave him alone unless you are sure its ok for him to roll all over the place. Next step is crawling and getting into everything:)
> You can barely tell but Dylan has his bottom two front teeth. The teeth came in while Rory was out to sea. They have continued to poke through and are very obvious now when he smiles. I think it is so cute.

> Dylan can now sit up on his own though it isn't long before he leans so far forward that he turns into a sandwhich:) or at times he leans so far to the side that he topples over.

> Rory was excited to learn that Dylan began calling for him when he was out to sea. Dylan started saying Dada on the 19th of this month

> Dylan also got a big little boy bath. He sat upright in the sink at my parents home for his baths. He loved kicking and splashing in the water. Now that we are home the sling in his baby tub is stored away therefore he gets to sit up for all of his baths.

Below I have posted pictures from our trip to Florida:

Visiting Friends
(because I have posted so many pictures on each post from FL you have to hit the older post link to get to the other new posts)

Dylan stayed busy the whole visit. This is how he felt at the end of most days:)
Now that we are home it is time to recoup.

Friends

We spent some time visiting friends on the 27th.
Wish we had time to visit all of our friends but due to time constraints and travel distance we were not able to do so. Hope we can cetch up with you at a later date. We love you all and miss you.

We drove to Palatka to have lunch with Jen, Ace and Cora at Gator Landing.
(Rory is looking down because Dylan was about to grab Ace's hair and he was trying to stop him. The good ole waitress just took the picture)

Check out Gator Mr. Two Bits - All the Gator fans will appreciate him I am sure:)

Acevedo Family - Jen, Cora Isabella and Mike

For dinner we drove halfway to Jacksonville to visit Tiffany, Harry and Grace. The coke on Rory's pants was compliments of little Grace:)

Dylan's First Christmas

Christmas Morning

Dylan trying to get Gau-Gau and Pops present

He sure enjoyed eating the pretty wrapping paper. Maybe he thought if he could make the paper soggy enough it would fall off then he wouldn't have to rip it :)

No one would guess that Dylan's parents are gator fans:)

Christmas Eve

A smiling Santa's helper

Mom prepared a delicious Christmas Eve dinner. After dinner we played card games, then Dylan got to enjoy our family tradition. We read the Christmas story from the Gospel of Luke, ate cookies, drank eggnog and placed Baby Jesus in the manger of Grandma's nativity scene.
More smiles from our little blessing!
Our precious family
The back of Dylan's outfit was too cute with the ho ho ho:)

Christmas at Nikki and Michael's

The night of December 21st we all got together at Nikki and Michael's home for an early Christmas.

Above is Gau-Gau (or Grandma which is where Gau-Gau came from) and all of her grandchildren.

Left to Right: Kaelyn, Morgan, Dylan and Austin

Dylan's First Time at the Beach

December 20th

Since it was a beautiful day in the 70s, Mom and I took Dylan to Saint Augustine Beach.
He thought the sand was something neat and wiggled his tiny toes just a little.
The water was a different story. At first Dylan was fine with the cold salt water lapping up and over his feet, but that didn't last long. He started a slight protest so up he went away from the cold water.

All smiles as usual
Dylan looking out to sea hoping to get a glimpse of his Daddy.
Dylan smiling down at his sweet Grandma Pappas.
Just wait it won't be too long until Dylan is playing in the sand loving the beach like his parents.Grandma and Dylan

Dylan's Great Grandparents

A rare blessing! Dylan was able to meet his great grandparents!

Not many people are able to say that.

Dylan was all smiles talking with his Great Grandpa Fredrick

Cousins

Dylan was able to see many of his cousins while we were in Florida.

It is a blessing to have such a large family! I didn't get a chance to take pictures of everyone but here are some pictures of family.

Jared and Dylan - Jared was born on Dylan's due date which was 4 days before Dylan graced us with his appearance.

Dylan & I with Melanie & Jared
Tommy, Melannie and Jared

Tommy (my cousin) is the reason Rory and I met. They were friends throughout high school.

We all think it is so wonderful that we had boys only 4 days apart:) The guys back in high school never would have guessed this is how life would have turned out.

The 3 babies are Caroline, Jared and Dylan. Caroline was born about 6 weeks after Dylan. She is the daughter of my other cousin Tami

Kaelyn loving on her little cousin Dylan
Kaelyn and Dylan again:) Kaelyn told her Mommy (my sister Nikki) she wanted her to have a baby as long as it was just like Dylan. How precious was that!!
