Mom's the Best

Mom and I this past Sunday before church. She arrived Saturday and stayed until Wednesday - a "practice" for the big visit. Just kidding she was kind enough to bring me some of the Florida baby shower gifts that we couldn't get back on the plane. We had a great visit!
Here is the cradle that Mom bought for baby Fredrick with the gingham set that matches the nursery. I must admit that it is very odd waking up and seeing a cradle in our room. Not too long now and there will be a precious someone in that cradle.

How adorable is this rocker!!! It fits the nursery theme so well and I know eventually baby Fredrick will love climbing and rocking on the teddy bear. Mom found it in Spruce Pine where my grandparents have a vacation home. It is too cute. Thanks Mom.
I am 32 weeks today:)
Wonder if Baby Fredrick is going to be on time, early or late?

Update

Spring is here! I am so thankful that winter is behind us and its not long now until we meet little baby Fredrick. I am dying to meet him or her! A few days less than 10 weeks until my due date - not that baby Fredrick will arrive right then but we are getting close!

Baby Fredrick is getting bigger everyday - and oh gee that means I am as well:)

Look at the wonderful job Rory did planting our annuals. I was sidelined this year from planting because we wanted to be safe and keep me far away from fertilizer and other not so lovely things that you get involved with when planting. Rory was a huge help and very fast at getting everything planted just right. Thanks Honey!!!

I will have to include pictures from the back deck soon. He did another wonderful job potting the tons of plants I brought home. Again Thank you Honey!

ABF Social

As many of you know,Rory and I attend a great church here in the area and have been welcomed into a wonderful Adult Bible Fellowship class (otherwise known as Sunday school)
The following are two photos taken by one of the ladies in the class at a cook out last Friday.
The Lord has really blessed us with so many precious new friends!

We had a great time at the cook out!
Thanks Mike and Melissa

Lamaze Class

On our way to our first Childbirth Preparation Class - otherwise known as Lamaze.
We thought that we would be the ones with the latest due date since we had to attend the class so early due to Rory's Navy schedule (you know the Navy rules when where how etc...) There are actually quite a few couples that are due around the same time - two couples are due July19. Out of the 12 couples that are in class 2 including us are waiting to find out the gender, 3 are girls and 7 are boys. Uhmm wonder what category we will fall into :)
It was very surreal sitting on the floor with Rory behind me practicing breathing. It was like something I should see in a movie not something that I am participating in. Everything is becoming very real as the arrival date approaches.

Rory wanted to get a close up of the shirt. The shirt says - You are my Sunshine - in case you could not read it. A girlfriend of mine from church lent me all her maternity clothes and this is one of her shirts.

I had on a white skirt and clip clops - yeah not smart to wear a skirt to Lamaze. Obviously, I had never attended a class before. Thankfully I had brought a sweater so I was able to drape that over my legs when we got down on the floor to practice. That's what I get for trying to look cute.

WEEK 28 DAY 2

I am feeling large and not so in charge of my body. Little Fredrick is definitely in charge!

We are in the middle of week 28. WebMD says that the baby is about two and a half pounds and 15.75 inches (Wow that is a lot of inches to have stuffed in my stomach) At this point the baby has REM cycles so he could very well be dreaming during sleep (about what - I have no idea) and she has the ability to open and close her eyes which already have full eye lashes. (I am interchanging he she so I don't have to call my precious child it)

Baby Fredrick has found a new game - lets hurt Mom. The kicking/punching/elbowing or kneeing is getting much stronger to the point where at times it can be painful if well aimed. A couple nights ago the baby found my ribs. Oh I wish that my little one never knew that I had ribs. A hand or foot wedged right up under my ribs on my right side as I was trying to sleep (try is the key word these days) It felt as though someone was trying to rip my ribs off the side of the my body. Thankfully when I moved positions and kneaded the area little Fredrick moved to another position. All in a days work when it comes to growing a child:)
