DUE DATE

No wonderful arrival yet! Today is the day that I never thought I would get to - especially pregnant. I thought for sure this little one would be early, but I was wrong. On our last visit to the Dr, he asked me if I have been sitting on my head. I guess the baby who was engaged last week is no longer engaged. Great, I have a stubborn child who is way too comfortable. I have been walking and exercising (doing squats and the whole works) but that doesn't seem to be working.

If Baby F doesn't decided to come in the next 6 days, I will be induced on the 27th of July. Kind of funny because my cousin's wife is going in for her c-section that same day:) I really don't want to be induced especially since my goal is to go through the labor with no drugs. Everyone start praying that this little one decides to come meet us soon.

There will be no more Dr appointments. We are in the wait and see what happens part of pregnancy. At max only 7 days until I meet my little bundle of joy!

BABY PROGRESS

So here is the latest on Baby Fredrick.
Last week I went in to see Dr Mike, but was disappointed because nothing much had changed since I was in the hospital at the end of June. Of course, I was thankful that both myself and the baby were healthy.
This last visit which was yesterday, I dreaded going to because I thought for sure nothing had changed in a weeks time. I was wrong - thankfully!!! Mike said that I am still only 1 cm dilated but am 80% effaced and the baby's head is a lot lower than it was last week - yippee something is happening.
Mom is flying up tomorrow to be here for when my little one decides to make it's grand entrance into the world.
It could be any time now! If the baby is late the Dr will only wait until 41 weeks to induce labor so at the most I have 2 weeks, though I am praying I go into labor on my own. So for all of you, myself included, who thought I would go early guess Baby F is letting us know otherwise.

Finished Product

Only one vital thing missing from our nursery - - and I am dying to get that precious someone home. We have a Doctors appointment today at 3 pm so we will see what Dr. Mike has to say about the situation.

As you can see in the photos the large shadow box is pretty empty -we are waiting on pictures of our little one as well as foot prints and a birth announcement. Can't put any of that in early:)

4th of July Belly

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!!!
THANK THE LORD FOR OUR WONDERFUL COUNTRY AND THOSE DEFENDING HER.

Update

Pictures taken Thursday, June 28th one day before we hit the 37 week mark.
Mom was back up in Virginia because Baby Fredrick decided to start playing mind games with us :0) The Friday evening (about a week before these pictures) I started having contractions steadily which were 5 minutes apart. My lower back was hurting, I was nauseous, and overall I just felt weird. After more than two hours of this Rory and I weren't sure if we should go to bed and see what happened or head to the hospital. We were only at week 36 of our child's development meaning our baby would have been considered a preemie. We thought the best bet would be to call labor and delivery to see what we should do. The lady said we should come in and get checked out.
We finished up a few things at the house thinking oh my goodness this may be the real deal. Once we got to Langley I was hooked up to external monitors. The baby was doing great and I was having contractions 2-3 minutes apart. When I was checked, I was 1 cm dilated and about 65% effaced. I was monitored for an hour or so with my contractions staying 2-3 minutes apart. I was given the choice of being hooked up to the monitors at the hospital or I could go home and come back when I couldn't handle the contractions anymore. The nurse figured the labor would progress and they would be seeing me later that morning (it was after midnight at that point in time) It did progress for some time I was feeling worse here at home. Slowly everything died down and by noon the next day I didn't feel good, but I wasn't having the same contractions that I was the evening and morning prior. Failure to progress.
I must say that the next time Baby Fredrick starts the whole labor deal again I am going to be skeptical. I also plan on staying here at home until I can hardly stand the contractions - forget the timing aspect I will pay attention to the intensity. Hopefully no more mind games!
We are aiming for 07-07-07
