Dylan's First Birthday

Happy First Birthday, Dylan!
(Since the last blog was really long and all writing this one is really long and mostly pictures:) )
Above the birthday boy with his cousin Trey -and his Uncle Jimmy and Mommy but we all know the parents don't count as much anymore:)
Above is Dylan with his Mommy, Aunts and Gau-Gau
(and Addison -cousin-to-be)
Cousins Troy and April with Aunt Joanna

The Martin Family and Jen with her daughter Cora (below)
We were so blessed to have friends and family drive from so far to see us and celebrate Dylan's birthday. Daddy came the farthest - CA but we also had Miami, Orlando, Deltona, Gainseville, Tampa and Riverview. Thank you all again!
Dylan and his cousin Crystal. Dylan is holding the bunny that Crystal gave him for his birthday

Pops with his sister Aunt Cary and our cousins April and Troy
Rory now an Uncle on his side of the family. Megan, Jimmy and not so thrilled Trey

We played two games. One being a quiz on how well do you know Dylan. Gau-Gau won but since she is such a sweet Grandmother she allowed me to give the prize to the runner up. Aunt Megan and Uncle Jimmy so Trey got the stuffed animal.
We also played pin the kiss on Dylan. Above is a picture with The Man and his kisses after everyone had gone. Crystal was the winner!
The whale cake all the guest got to eat while Dylan had his very own life preserver smash cake from the U.S.S. Dylan
Don't mind the fact that it looks like it is melting - it had been sitting out at the beach so that's what happens in Florida. Dylan loved it just the same as soon as he realized it was edible

These two pictures are from the what is this sticky stuff stage. He wasn't sure what to make of the cake at first

Then into his mouth it went
He may be a veggie eater but he has taste buds and was lovin' the icing. He had to make sure he didn't let the part on his arm go to waste
Oh yeah this was sweet stuff!
Happy Birthday to me
Being the precious boy that he is Dylan was sharing his icing and cake with Daddy.

How could they take all the goodness of sugary icing and cake away from me!

Dylan is very grateful for so many wonderful presents!
If you will look closely at the first picture where he is in Daddy's lap you will notice he is holding a spoon. Dylan is probably the only child that held a plastic spoon the entire time he opened his present. The picture below shows the best part of presents at this stage of life - the wrapping paper, tissue paper, bags and bows.
Cora got down on the ground to play with Dylan and decided he needed some good luck birthday smacks. Dylan was not sure what to think about that.
Turning one and partying is tiring business!
